Police Pursuit Vs. ESC

Saturday, February 28, 2015 By Daniel Donza Leave a Comment

ESC PursuitThe agencies first started with a roadblock attempt.

An attempt was tried on the bridge, but a block was made by the fleeing vehicle.

As with any pursuit there is risk and at times the potential for damage / injury / crash increases as the pursuit continues.

I saw the officers use of restraint both on the bridge and the streets of Brooklyn. On the other hand, decisive actions were taken when the situations presented themselves, resulting in a minimal damage, risk, and injury to all involved.

Keep in mind that the fleeing vehicle was equipped with Electronic Stability Control which makes the pursuit more challenging. There were two recoveries made by the fleeing driver where ESC kicked on.

Keep up the good work. To train for these situations and you should see results like that.

Great Job by all involved.
